Ranea DeShazer started at Brookside Retirement Community in 2010 as a dietary aide. She is now our Certified Dietary Manager and Certified Food Protection Professional and has been for the past four years. She grew up in Overbrook and later moved to Olathe. She has two daughters, Carissa, 27 and Kelsea, 24. She enjoys babysitting her 3 grandchildren.
She has worked in the food service industry in Johnson County catering parties and serving the community. She has moved back to Overbrook and now provides wonderful meals to residents, staff and the community. She loves the joy of making people happy through food and nutritional education.
